Our university is located in the buffer zone of the Pantanos de Villa (natural protected area) whose natural wetlands, characterized by their flora and fauna, conserve the biodiversity of species, which is why our pavilions are conceived with an environmental architecture, without altering the natural environment of the place, maintaining a neutral and linear rhythm in the two-story volumetry in most buildings.
With a pleasant urban scale the spaces are proposed, where each square is interconnected with circuits and ecological walks, taking advantage of its green views and its proximity to the sea. For these and more features, our pavilion won the gold medal in the Architectural Design category: Single Family Housing and the bronze medal in the Architectural Design category: Multi Family Housing of the Miami International Architecture and Design Biennial 2009.
